Abstract
The transmit power and laser divergence angle of single photon laser ranging system for airborne is a key factor restricting the measurement range. A method is proposed in this paper to reduce the laser divergence angle to increase the measurement process. And an auto tracking system based on fast steering mirror is proposed to improve the accuracy of the pointing error because of the small divergence angle in airborne environment. On the theory, it can increase the measurement range of not increasing the transmit power.
