Abstract
A new algorithm/architecture is described that tracks objects in a dense multiple target environment, with clutter, false alarms, non-unity probability of detection and occasionally unresolved returns. The algorithm is non-recursive, being a modification of a multiple hypothesis tracker. The architecture is a generalized parallel prefix network, which exploits recent advances in semiconductor technology. The algorithm also exploits two recent advances in parallel sorting and parallel string matching.
