Abstract
In this paper, we developed an efficient method for searching common edges of surface elements, which can be employed for preprocess of the moment method and the geometrical theory of diffraction. Based on hash table, the linear complexity of the method is reached. The simulation results verify the efficiency of the method. Moreover, this method is not only suitable for triangular surface elements, but also suitable for arbitrary shapes.
