Abstract
In this article, a 126 kV single break vacuum circuit breaker is taken as the research object to analyze the high-power density permanent magnet synchronous motor mechanism and repulsion mechanism. Also, a combined operatingmechanism is designed. Based on the different requirements of vacuum circuit breaker for opening and closing, a scheme of combined operating mechanisms has been proposed. The combination of repulsive opening and permanent magnet motor closing ensures the rapidity of opening and the stability of closing. An equivalent excitation circuit of the electromagnetic repulsive opening mechanism has been established, and the motion characteristics of the designed highspeed permanent magnet operating mechanisms have been obtained in the opening process. Also, the cogging torque of the drive motor is designed and optimized to carry outthe dynamic simulation of torque output of the high-power permanent magnet motor driven by the high voltage circuit breaker. A suitable high-speed buffer device is designed, which can not only effectively buffer the kinetic energy of switch motion but also keep the moving guide rod at the opening position without any rebound. The testing machine platform of variable stroke and load reaction are also established. Eventually, the prototype is developed and tested.
