Abstract
To study the erosion problem of the shale gas well field, the CFD model of the elbow of rotating valve group was established to study the effects of gas velocity and sand content on elbow erosion. The research shows that the pressure in the valve group changes obviously at the elbow, and the pressure in the inlet blind pipe section is relatively high. When it flows through the tee area, the pressure distribution is uniform and the pressure difference is not obvious. Under the condition of constant pressure velocity and sand size, the maximum erosion rate of elbow increases gradually as the sand content increases. It is recommended to use downhole throttling to reduce sand volume and velocity to avoid serious erosion.
