Abstract
In ship transportation systems, various equipment requires periodic inspection to ensure the safe operation of the ship's engine room. Presently, professionals perform these inspections by checking off items on an inspection checklist and recording the status of each equipment item. However, this approach faces issues such as difficulty in the long-term preservation of paper records and an inability to effectively use them for fault data analysis, along with a lack of supervision, leading to missed inspections. To address these challenges, this paper presents a ZigBee technology-based data monitoring approach and fault intelligent diagnosis system that leverages the Internet of Things. This solution aims to enhance the efficiency and reliability of periodic inspections of ship engine rooms.
