Abstract
The problem of spectral parameter estimation using Hopfield neural networks (HNN) is studied in this paper. Linear prediction method for least square (LS) estimates and Pisarenko's harmonical retrieval method for constrained least-square estimates by HNN are introduced and an improved HNN algorithm for spectral peak searching is derived. The key problem we attempt to solve is to map these actual optimization problems to proper energy functions.
