Abstract
We illustrate a technique of constructing a single crystal photorefractive (PR) fiber hologram. Because of its physical length (a few centimeters), high angular and wavelength selectivities can be achieved, in which massive holographic data storage can be performed. Because of high electro-optic constant of the PR fiber, it can be used as optical switches, as well as for optical interconnections. Preliminary experiments are provided in this paper.
