Abstract
This paper describes in detail the effective procedure for Karhunen-Loeve basis synthesis, offered by the authors for statistical ensembles, permitting a limited size teaching set. Unlike the classical Karhunen-Loeve procedure, the main factor, restricting its application and determining the number of required calculations for basis formation, is not the dimension of the encoding signal itself but the number of elements in the input basic set. This allows us to apply this procedure to the objects of grate capacity (up to 106 - 108 counts), that is usual for optical processed signals. Examples of effective real signal coding are given.
