Abstract
In this paper, we utilize a Bayesian estimator based on a Markov random field prior image model in order to reconstruct a full-resolution color image from single-chip CCD sensor. The fact that the image is a color image is incorporated by using coupled Markov random fields, one field for each color component. The observation is the sampled color image. The Bayesian estimator is approximately computed by using a deterministic method due to Besag called iterated conditional modes. A numerical example illustrating the performance of our proposed approach and the performance of alternative interpolation approach is presented.
