Abstract

This paper addresses our ongoing funded research 'R&D on Intelligent Integrated Numerical Control (I²NC) System.' In the paper, the intelligent characteristic of intelligent numerical control (INC) system is analyzed and the architecture of an INC system is proposed. The system's hardware configuration and software design are presented. Finally, the hierarchical system's three intelligent levels are also discussed.
