Abstract
This paper looks specifically at computers and information systems and their effects on the patrol force. Current mobile computing solutions provided to patrol do very little to enhance their productivity. Empowering police officers in the field with mobile computing software that enables them to access critical secondary data improves effectiveness and increases productivity.
