Abstract

Bismuth-germanium oxides (Bi₁₂GeO₂₀) and bismuth- silicon oxide (Bi₁₂SiO₂₀) single crystals doped with chromium or manganese are photochromic materials. The annealing of these materials in some atmospheres changes their optical properties. The results of experimental research are presented.
