Abstract
A wide field of view (FOV) optical-electronic camera system has been developed for commercial and scientific application. FOV of this system is partitioned into four sub-FOVs. Four CCDs with their own lens acquire images of these sub-FOVs respectively. An interactive image processing system has been designed for target acquisition and tracking. This processing system is a multiprocessor system. Moving targets are detected via image compare by pre- processing modules and displayed on CRT screen. The operator selects the target to be tracked and point out its rude position. The accurate position is extracted frame by frame by target tracking modules.
