Abstract
A new excitation system is developed for UV N2-laser with longitudinal discharge providing laser efficiency of 0.1% and average power of approximately 1 W at 1 kHz prr. High efficiency of unstable resonator using is confirmed for a small aperture laser with high amplification, power density of 1012 W/sterad is achieved. A multichannel laser system is proposed for output power further improvement.
