Abstract

On the basis of the coupled wave equation the transformation of symmetrical electrical modes TM₀₁ and TM₀₂ mixture into the mixture of TE₁₁- and TE₁₂-modes having a polarization close to a linear one has been investigated. Mode transformation was realized by a converter consisting of the pieces of a curved overmoded circular waveguide with an alternating curvature.
