Abstract
The characteristic lengths of light linear and circular depolarization in turbid media are analyzed from random walk of vector photons. Analytical expressions are derived for polydisperse scatterers. The characteristic lengths of light depolarization computed using this model explained the different light depolarization behaviors observed in tissue and phantoms.
