Abstract
3D building reconstruction from airborne LiDAR point cloud is an active research topic in recent years. This paper presents a new algorithm based on invariable moment and proposes a new approach to use of minimum circum rectangle which aims to alleviate the deficiencies existed in invariable moment based scheme. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed method is less error prone and more efficient.
