Abstract
Dispersed Rayleigh Interferometer (DRI) is designed for 3 degree-of-freedom alignment of a grating pair contained in chirped-pulse-amplification laser pulse system. The working Gaussian pulse laser spectrally centered at 1053 nm with an FWHM bandwidth of 5 nm is utilized as the broadband light source. The relationship of DRI interferograms and alignment errors is simulated, based on which the alignment criteria by image processing method are determined. Structural parameters of the DRI are carefully designed according to the simulations. Theoretically, the final coarse measurement range for piston error is 5 mm, with positional sensitivity of 20 nm and angular sensitivity of 8 μrad within a fine measurement range of 500 μm.
