Abstract
Electromagnetic field probe based on fiber transmission is designed and tested. The signal detected by antenna is transported by fiber optical to minish the interference and loss. Multiple quantum well semiconductor laser (MQW-LD) is used as an Electro-optical conversion in this design. A circuit model of MQW-LD based on the rate equation is given. The slope of the curve can be used to reflect the dynamic range of the probe. According to the test, laser's L-I curve is in accordance with the simulation result. The test result of the probe system is reasonable at 0.9GHz~1.0GHz. And the test result is accordant to the simulation result at DC state.
