1 March 2002 Coupling coefficient evaluation of a fiber directional coupler using an all-fiber Sagnac interferometer
Author Affiliations +
An all-fiber Sagnac interferometer using a bire- fringent fiber loop is used to determine the coupling coefficients of a fiber directional coupler. These coefficients are estimated by identifying the minimum value of the normalized transmittance of the filtered spectrum through the allfiber Sagnac interferometer with respect of a simple appropriate model.
