A novel four-pass amplifier with SBS phase conjugation mirror was conceptually designed. It has the advantage of compactness, lower cost, and higher reliability. A special architecture of active double-cell SBS mirror was suggested. By means of active seed injection, deeply saturating amplification, and 'addition pulse' method, the operative stability and adaptability for shaped pulse can be obtained.
