Abstract
Using comparison based on a nonlinear-imaging thchnique with phase object have been proposed to measure the cubic nonlinear refractive index. The equal thickness interference can be performed at the output of parallel double 4f coherent imaging system. Lastly, we draw a conclusion that the ratio of the material's nonlinear refractive index equals to the inverse ratio of the laser intensity of two optical paths while the interference stripes don't shift any more. It is a powerful and sensitive method for nonlinear optical investigation that worth doing deeper research.
