Abstract
Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy is one of the different optical techniques that are used to extract optical properties of tissues such as the scattering and the absorption coefficients. These properties can in turn be linked to physiological parameters. Therefore optical probes are of interest to extract physiological parameters from tissue that derive from diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. Investigating to which extend theses models are valid is of importance in order to assess the reliability of the estimated parameters. We present different models that are used to extract optical parameters from spatially resolved diffuse reflectance measurement.
