Abstract
The top-emitting OLED has higher light efficiency comparing to the bottom-emitting OLED due to the high aperture ratio. In this paper, we have analyzed the optical characteristics of the encapsulation layer with the organic and inorganic multi-layer structure for top emitting OLED. The thickness of the layer structure is optimized to achieve high transmittance by the transfer matrix method. We also calculated the transmittance of organic/inorganic multilayer in terms of incident angle and wavelength. The transmittance of the multi-layers above 90% was achieved for whole incident angle in the visible range.
