Abstract
The paper discusses a new method of improvement of conversion quality in intelligent cyclic analog-to-digital converters (ICADCs). One of the key factors influencing performance of ICADC is integral nonlinearity (INL) of its internal digital-to-analog converter (DAC). In the paper this influence is analyzed and there is proposed a method of its reduction using randomization of the errors caused by DAC INL and their averaging, which allows to improve ICADC resolution. Effectiveness of the developed method was examined in simulation experiments.
