Abstract
Three-dimensional organic microlasers were fabricated and lasing with low threshold was demonstrated. The cavities were fabricated via UV lithography from SU-8 doped with different laser dyes. The fabrication scheme relies on commercially available products and is both cheap and rapid. Cubic and stripe-shaped (Fabry-P´erot) microlasers were investigated. The periodic ray trajectories on which their lasing modes are localized were identified as a first step towards the exploration of general three-dimensional microlasers.
