Abstract
A new method of determining arbitrary phase shifts in Phase Shifting Interferometry (PSI) is presented. The method uses a unique property of Localized Cross Spectral Analysis (LCSA) that constitutes a part of the Stransform to estimate the unknown parameter. The computed phase shifts are then used as an input to the generalized PSI algorithm to obtain accurate phase distribution information. The effectiveness of this method is then verified by means of computer simulations and experimentally acquired data.
