Abstract
We investigated the feasibility of decreasing the negative influence of roughness on the visibility of underwater objects. The technique is based on the use of information about glitter on the sea surface, which is required for determining the undistorted parts of the underwater object image). The effect of angular resolution of the imaging system on the underwater object image quality is also studied.
