The dust is a problem that has plagued the tunnel construction for many years. In order to study the effect of water cannon mud dust reduction technology on the degradation of smoke and dust in long and large tunnel.we explored how the water cannon mud technology can be efficiently applied in tunnel dust reduction and reducing the dust and harmful gases which is damage to the constructors and influence on construction speed. Guided by the concentration of smoke and dust produced by blasting during the construction of the Xinglong tunnel exit, we researched the difference in dust reduction effect between ordinary and high-efficiency water cannon mud and the influence of different filling schemes of water cannon mud on the dust generation in the tunnel. The results showed that: (1) high-efficiency and ordinary water cannon mud have obvious effects on dust degradation, and high-efficiency water cannon mud has obvious effect on reducing harmful gases such as CO. (2) Different filling methods of water cannon mud have a certain impact on the dust reduction effect. Reasonable filling method can effectively improve the dust reduction effect. (3) The state of groundwater in the tunnel has a significant impact on dust degradation. With the increase of humidity in the tunnel, the dust concentration decreases after blasting, and the dust reduction efficiency of water cannon mud decreases.
