Abstract
With the transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development of the road freight industry, competition in the road freight industry has gradually intensified due to the increasingly prominent structural contradictions between supply and demand sides. Based on the dynamic data of Heavy-duty trucks Global Positioning System (GPS), this research adopts index and weight calculation methods such as big data processing, composite index, entropy weight method, and establish a highway freight market operation monitoring system that reflects the operation and change characteristics of this industry. The highway freight market operation monitoring system includes the Truck Moving Index (TMI) and 3 sub-indicators (Scale, Efficiency, Price), to reveal the law of market development and to support industry management departments to reasonably judge the market development stage.
