Abstract
A stretchable sensor was successfully fabricated by suturing multilayer elastic knitted fabrics using conductive yarn coated with silver in this manuscript. A liner relationship between the resistance of the sensor and the elongation of knitted fabrics in a certain range were introduced. There were no significant wrecks on the surface of silver-coated yarns before and after stitching. Repeated tensile cycle tests showed that the sensor had high repeatability and good stability. The fabricated processes of the sensor were only using the sewing processes of manufacture cloth, so that the sensor could be a partial of our daily garments, which could monitor body movements of sports and other stretch actions of human body, The sensors could be designed as a part of smart garments which could monitor our healthy and movements.
