Abstract
As the greenhouse effect getting more and more serious, it is more urgent than ever to strengthen the worlds carbon sequestration. In this article, we select several indicators that may affect forest carbon sequestration and establish the carbon sequestration model progressively. It can be concluded that regularly harvesting old trees can maximize carbon sequestration. We propose four levels of forest management plans and construct the forest management decision model in view of several forests. We find that non-harvesting is best for seriously damaged forests and planted agricultural forest. We think transition points between forests can be determined, and characteristics of forest can help determine best management plan for one forest. Sensitivity analysis is conducted to validate the robustness of our model.
