Abstract
In this paper, we propose an effective and efficient method for constructing 3D mesh for medial axis transform (MAT). Given a MAT approximated as medial mesh, our method generates high-fidelity and watertight 3D triangle mesh even under the exposure of large ill-posed and degenerated medial primitives (medial cones and medial slabs). Experimental results show that our method can produce high-quality 3D meshes and accurately remove degenerate primitives.
