Abstract
In the design of transmission lines, the selection of suitable wires is of great significance to the project. In this paper, finite element software ANSYS was used to establish finite element model of transmission tower, three towers and four-wire finite elements of ordinary steel core aluminum strand and carbon fiber composite core conductor, which calculates the displacement, axial force and bending moment of the transmission single tower, the ordinary steel core aluminum strand before the transformation and the carbon fiber composite core wire tower system after the transformation. The analysis results show that the top displacement of the tower, in the tower line coupling system of ACCC conductor, is about 48.9% higher than that of the transmission tower, and the axial force and bending moment of the bottom of the tower, are about 39.6% and 37.9% higher than that of the transmission single tower, which indicates that the coupling of the tower line needs to be considered when the ACCC wire is used for the transmission line. The maximum displacement of the tower top under the ACCC wire is reduced by about 62.7%, compared with the maximum displacement of the tower top under the action of the ACSR wire, and the maximum axial force and bending moment of the bottom of the tower are also reduced by about 64.2% and 64.7% , which explains that the carbon fiber composite core wire after the transformation has more superior performance than the ordinary steel core aluminum stranded wire used for transmission lines before the transformation.
