Abstract
A surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based sensor composing by silver (Ag) film capped with spacer layer of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanosheets was proposed and demonstrated. The MoS2 nanosheet overlayer coated on the proposed Ag/TiO2 substrate was demonstrated to further enhance the sensing sensitivity significantly. Benefitting from spacer layer with TiO2 and MoS2 overlayer with large surface area, the sensitivity of 3692.4 nm/RIU in the experiment was achieved.
