Abstract
In response to the problem of inconvenient toileting for the elderly, this paper designs a control system for a device that assists the elderly to get up and use the toilet, analyses the structural composition and working principle of the device, and studies the framework and working principle of the control system. The device uses an Arduino board as the main controller and controls the motor speed on the device flexibly through PWM, thus realizing the functions of forward, backward and rotation. The user controls the device by pressing the control buttons on the wireless remote control, thus helping the elderly to complete a series of complex activities such as waking up and toileting. With a smooth control process and high control accuracy, the system is able to help elderly people who have difficulty taking care of themselves to get up and use the toilet, providing a new option for the intelligent elderly assistance industry.
