Abstract
In the wind resources assessment, it is very important to get the representative wind speed. The routine method used the liner relationship between weather station and wind farm to calculate it. The roughness and shape of the terrain sometimes takes into poor correlation. This text takes a wind farm in Shandong as example to show the limitation of this method.
