Abstract
With the dense development of power network and the progress of flexible transmission technology, the problem of short-circuit current overshoots are beginning to emerge. In this paper, the development trend and limitation measures of short-circuit current in domestic and foreign power grids are analyzed, and the short-circuit current levels in different development stages are summarized. Furthermore, the factors that affect the short-circuit current level are analyzed, and a calculation method of short-circuit current with flexible DC is proposed. Finally, new types of short-circuit current limiting devices that limit the level of short-circuit current are introduced.
