Abstract
By analyzing the impact of right-turn accidents of tractor and semi-trailer on traffic safety, foreign commonly used test methods for vehicle combination turning performance were studied. Based on the above, a semi-trailer train right-angle turn test method suitable for China was proposed and the effectiveness of the method was verified through full vehicle road tests. The study adopts a combination of theoretical analysis and field tests, and through comprehensive analysis of factors such as the turning ability and operating environment of tractor and semi-trailer, a suitable tractor and semi-trailer right-angle turn test method for China is established, and the effectiveness of the method is verified. The results of the study show that the proposed test method can accurately evaluate the passing performance of tractor and semi-trailer, effectively avoiding the impact of right-turn accidents on traffic safety, and has practical value and promotion significance.
