Abstract
In order to reduce the impact of point cloud stitching errors in ground mounted 3D scanners, a unique scanning method was proposed to distinguish static and dynamic scanning objects from overlapping ones by optimizing the scanning method. In order to reduce stitching errors, dynamic objects were removed and only static objects were stitched. Correction experiments were conducted on the data results using several methods, A comparison was made between the concatenated error data before and after using the correction method and without using the correction. The results showed that the corrected point cloud concatenation was smoother and smoother, and the measurement error of the data was significantly reduced.
