Abstract
The application of the gradient search algorithm for adaptive determination of the optimal L-filter coefficients is discussed. Specifically, the case of symmetric noise densities is investigated with respect to the convergence properties of LMS algorithm. Analytical results are presented and supported by simulation experiments for appropriate signal models.
