Abstract
In this paper, we propose an automatic road network interpretation system. This system is essentially based on inferring and checking connections hypotheses between pre-detected road portions. Combined with a geometric adjustment step, it generates a precise representation of the whole road network according to cartographic criteria. Our system is based on a road- following tool, and uses high-level knowledge only to solve locally complex interpretation problems.
