Abstract

The OSA-UCS is a color order system developed by the Optical Society of America's Committee on Uniform Color Scales. The color specification value (L,j,g) of the OSA-UCS is derived from the CIE 1964 tristimulus value (X₁₀, Y₁₀, Z₁₀). However, no direct conversion algorithm from OSA-UCS to CIEXYZ has been reported. In this paper, analytic conversion algorithm from OSA-UCS to CIEXYZ has been developed, and its effectiveness is justified.
