Abstract
A rigorous mathematical modeling of the total internal reflection holography based on the pseudo-Fourier modal analysis theory is proposed. The analytical three-dimensional Fourier transform representation of general three-dimensional holograms developed by the total internal reflection holography is described. The generalized three-dimensional pseudo- Fourier modal analysis method is presented for solving the Maxwell equations. A few numerical examples of the total internal reflection holography obtained with the proposed method are provided.
