Abstract
The radiometric/photometric relationship between the scene and camera is of primary importance. It determines the output signal. The second radiometric/photometric consideration is the match between the display’s spectral output and the eye’s spectral response. Display manufacturers have considered this in detail, which reduces the burden on the system designer. However, the displayed image typically is not a precise reproduction of the scene. While the displayed image usually represents the scene in spatial detail, the intensity and color rendition may be quite different.
