It’s About Shaping the World: An interview with Chris Myatt
Abstract
Chris Myatt has been the CEO of two companies that he created: Precision Photonics Corporation (PPC), a company he founded in Boulder, Colorado, with his wife, Sally Hatcher, and grad school colleague Kurt Vogel in 2000, and LightDeck Diagnostics, which was originally spun out of PPC as MBio Diagnostics in 2009. PPC, which was acquired by IDEX in 2012, develops precision optical components, coatings, and assemblies for the telecommunications, aerospace and defense, biomedical, and semiconductor industries. LightDeck Diagnostics, which was acquired by Heska in 2023, develops products that deliver lab-quality testing for rapid and accurate point-of-care diagnostics. I spoke with Chris in 2010, early in the days when he was building MBio Diagnostics.
