Abstract
This chapter is composed of three parts: (1) a brief survey of the historical and current large-object environment that an operating satellite would face, (2) the space traffic management (STM) problem of determining the risk of collision between two passing objects, and (3) the long-term risk satellites will encounter due to the anticipated increase in satellite activity.
