Abstract
In this chapter, we explore using the modern web technologies and data-analytics infrastructure of today for implementing the ground segment of space systems. In the consumer world, web applications are increasingly favored over their standalone counterparts for the many advantages that they offer: native support for remote and simultaneous access, platform independence, ease of development and deployment, and access to a plethora of open-source community libraries, just to name a few. In particular, accessibility (especially on mobile devices) is what makes web applications extremely powerful and popular today. Naturally, it is conceivable that web technologies will open new doors in the design, testing, and operations of space systems, no less with cloud integration and modern data-analytics capabilities.
