The role of holography in characterization of small objects in a dynamic volume is well established.1–3 There is significant current interest in applications and refinement of the technique.4–18 The size accuracy or resolution is one of the most important parameters and aberration3,19–31 is one of the critical governing aspect. To establish the aberrationrelated resolution, Rayleigh quarter wavelength rule and Mare´chal’s condition are two important32 approaches.
